NORTHERN LIGHT NORTHERN DARKNESS
Northern Light Northern Darkness is a collection of short stories, currently under restructuring as a novel. The narrative opens in northern Ontario at a psychiatric hospital east of Timmins, during the year it opened with great promise. Nine years later, the summary closure of the hospital occurs without warning. The characters range from psychiatrists to colourfully swearing former gold miners, some of whom appear to have hearts of gold. One of the psychiatrists is shadowed by his dubious practice of the talking cure. Two sections of the manuscript have been previously published.
